Turner duo to call Crusaders home in 2024

2023's Most Improved Player, Martin and 2023's 'A Team' MVP, Matthew have opted to extend their stay with the Crusaders for a further season.

The Chester Gladiators Masters Player, Martin Turner and son, Matthew came to the Crusaders ahead of the 2023 season through the clubs open taster sessions and went on to have breakout seasons.

Martin who had a stand-out season, including a star-making performance in the Chmapionship Grand-Final victory over Wigan Warriors 'A', managed 168 points in 19 appearances, including a solitary try in his first team debut against then Super League side, Warrington Wolves back in August.

This form resulting in an invitation to train with the Wales national team in their preperation for their test series against the USA.

Matthew who was one of the Crusaders' youngest players in 2023 was a stand-out player on the wing for the 'A Team', securing nine tries in his 18 appearances. Clocking in 8 Player of the Match awards in the process, the most of any other player in the club.
