Having two separate spells at the Crusaders, Paul first joined the club back at the tail end of 2016.

Paul made his Crusaders debut in 2017 at the former RFL tournament, Spring Slam. Paul would go on to be a key part of the Crusaders squad through the years. This time saw him feature in all competitions for the Crusaders which included being a try scorer in the Super League, League One, Challenge Trophy and Challenge Cup.

Paul would then go on to leave the Crusaders to join up with Warrington Wolves ahead of the 2020 season in order to play closer to work, however, after a multi-year stay at the club, Paul opted to rejoin the Crusaders ahead of the 2023 campaign.

Paul featured in the clubs season opener last season, however missed the remainder of the campaign due to ill health.

Back in August, the Crusaders received the horrible news that Paul had sadly passed away due to his health issues. Following his death the Crusaders retired his trusted number 5 jersey cementing Paul as a constant Crusaders member forever.
